Pronouns: he/him

Nick is developing a neuroscience-anchored multidisciplinary measurement and evaluation framework of human flourishing to inform self-determined social equity from personal, organisational and policy objectives.

Nick believes in the power of the mind to increase self-determination potential. As the General Manager, Campaign Sustainability at From The Heart, he focuses on building a movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians to achieve a successful referendum for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament. He comes from Wamberal, New South Wales, Darkinjung Country.

He is fascinated by the manifestations of 'Human Flourishing’, and believes that combining systems change with the power of the mind can reduce social inequity.

He has worked with First Nations communities of Australia and Canada since 2004, and pairs high EQ with pragmatism and an insatiable curiosity about others and their stories. He is an avid learner, and adept at moving between people, strategies, and operations.

Nick has a neuroscience major from the University of Melbourne, an MBA from the University of South Australia, a Graduate Certificate of Education from The University of Melbourne, Executive Education from Harvard University, and is an inaugural Fellow of the Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity.  He also holds a Diploma of Landscape Design and Certificate I in welding and metalwork.

Understanding, articulating and manifesting motivation and empowering behaviors, and their reactions to and operation within a system can lead to better outcomes and impact for others. If the collective ‘we’ focus on other people’s flourishing, many issues will resolve.

Social change work

Nick’s social change project involved researching the parameters of 'Human Flourishing', developing a framework of seven parameters in six environments.
