University of Melbourne

The Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity (AFSE) program is based at the University of Melbourne. The program was established at the University with funding from the Atlantic Philanthropies in 2016.

The University’s extensive Indigenous and allied community – across academic, professional and student groups – has a strong commitment to the AFSE program.

During the foundation year, AFSE Fellows enrol as students at the University and complete either a Masters or Graduate Certificate of Social Change Leadership through the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.

There are also many opportunities for Fellows to connect with Indigenous programs and offerings at the University, including the Indigenous Knowledge Institute (IKI)
