Alex is advancing social and economic outcomes of First Peoples, specialising in the co-design, development and implementation of strategic policy frameworks to facilitate social and economic equity for First Peoples.

Alex is a proud Kabi Kabi man (Southeast Coast, QLD) based in Naarm (Melbourne), Victoria but originally from Warumungu Country (Tennant Creek, NT). He is currently the Managing Director of Bundyi Girri Consulting, a position that allows him to utilise his own and that of other First Peoples' knowledges and perspectives to work with businesses and public institutions seeking to advance Reconciliation.

Alex is currently working on several projects, including the development of the Victorian Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Framework and Cultural Safety Frameworks with several businesses. He has a background in strategic social policy, institutional reform, and youth development. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively in the field of Aboriginal Affairs, with a strong focus on strategy and policy development, operational management, and leadership within not-for-profits – including the Aboriginal community-controlled sector, sporting industry, and youth sector.

Social change work

Alex's social change proposal sought to explore methodologies to develop and embed partnership models in Indigenous social policy. Policy development that is centred on engaging policymakers, service deliverers, and the end user to collectively design products, programs and services that will ultimately lead to improvements and innovation in social outcomes.
